Father’s Day is June 18, and if you don’t have a gift for your dad or another fatherly figure already, you might consider taking him out to dinner on Sunday.
Many dads appreciate a good steak, so we’ve compiled five restaurants that fit the bill. And even if they don’t, these restaurants and other activities are still a good way to spend Father’s Day.
Whether it is a porterhouse, wagyu, ribeye, or any other dishes on the menu, just know if you take Dad out for dinner, you get to enjoy a great meal, too.
Check out these great steakhouses and steak restaurants to take dad, plus three experiences and deals to celebrate Father’s Day.
Avenue Steak Tavern
In addition to brunch, the Avenue Steak Tavern, with locations at 94 N. High St. in historic Dublin and 1307 Grandview Ave. in Grandview Heights, is a great place for dinner on Father’s Day. With menu items that include filet mignon, twin filets, top sirloin and New York strip, plus seafood, chicken, veal, pork chops and more, this steak tavern can get the job done.
Santos, formerly Chophouse614, recently rebranded as a new scratch kitchen concept at Luxe 23, 1079 N. High St. in the Short North. The restaurant, also previously known as Urban Chophouse, is still very much a steakhouse, serving ribeye, filet mignon and New York steak frites. The revamped menu also includes tacos and seafood, in addition to new décor and ambiance. A drink menu features tequila-inspired cocktails, martinis and “Summerfest” spiked lemonades.
Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse‘s Columbus location, at 569 N. High St. in the Short North, is a classic steakhouse to take Dad to. Explore its current menu items like the 36-day dry-aged bone-in “Ryan Day” ribeye steak, among other Ohio State-coined steak dishes, or the wagyu menu, with items like Japanese 100% A-5 beef, Miyazaki beef and Omi beef. The menu also features pork chops, seafood, soups, salads, sides like lobster mac and cheese and roasted cream corn pancetta, and more.
A historic steakhouse, The Top is the perfect place to take dads—bonus points if they haven’t been to The Top since it debuted a new patio a few years ago. At 2891 E. Main St. in Whitehall, their menu features prime rib au jus, charbroiled ground steak sandwich, New York strip center cut, filet mignon, porterhouse and more, served with red wine demi-glaze or sauteed mushroom add-ons, whipped potatoes, fries and salad as sides, and more.
A newer steakhouse on the block, Cut 132 is a great place for dad if you’re looking for a different steakhouse experience where drinks are paired with menu items in a unique way. At 4188 Brighton Rose Way in Easton Town Center with a recently debuted patio, Cut 132’s menu includes starters such as crab cakes, pork belly and charcuterie boards; entrees such as wet-aged filet mignon, tomahawk and A-5 wagyu beef with handmade sauces and toppings; and sides like truffle mac and cheese with seasoned breadcrumbs and fried-twice hand-cut fries.
