Learn how to add delicious desserts, a bevy of beverages, and prime viewing spots for Disneyland’s nighttime spectaculars with this guide to dessert parties.

Getting prime seating for any of Disneyland’s nighttime spectaculars can be tough – but with a dessert party reservation, it’s both easy and extra enjoyable. A dessert party allows you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the stunning nighttime entertainment available at Disneyland Resort, all while munching on sweets and savory snacks, while sipping some great beverages. It’s an optional extra that can make your next park visit (or World of Color viewing) even more special.

Learn more about Disneyland Resort dessert parties and how you can take advantage of these extra special experiences below.

What is a Disneyland Resort Dessert Party?

A dessert party at Disneyland Resort is an optional way to enhance your evening. Held at the same time as nighttime entertainment offerings like fireworks shows and parades, you’ll be able to sit in a reserved area, enjoy a selection of food and beverages, and watch the skies or waters of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park come alive.

What’s Included in a Disneyland Resort Dessert Party?

The details depend on the dessert party you book. For the current dessert party offerings at Disneyland Resort, your reservation includes:

    • An array of dessert and cheeses
    • Unlimited soft drinks and bottled water
    • 2 alcoholic drinks (for adults age 21 and up)
    • Reserved seating in a preferred viewing area

How Much Does a Dessert Party Cost at Disneyland?

The price of a Disneyland Resort dessert party will depend on the exact details of the party you book. Here’s a look at prices for two of the common dessert parties:

    • World of Color Dessert Party: $89 per Guest
    • Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party: $84 per Guest

Currently, just one dessert party is offered at Disneyland Resort, and you’ll find it at California Adventure.

    World of Color Dessert Party

The World of Color Dessert Party is offered at Disney California Adventure Park during performances of World of Color. While World of Color is typically a standing-room-only show, this extra experience gives you the opportunity to take a comfortable seat in Paradise Gardens Park, while munching and sipping on some special treats.

When you book a World of Color Dessert Party, you’ll get to relax in a preferred viewing area, at either low tables with folding chairs or high-top tables with director chairs. You’ll enjoy an individual plate of desserts and cheeses delivered right to your table, and you can enjoy unlimited beverages like water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and sodas. If you’re 21 or older, you’ll also be able to enjoy up to two alcoholic beverages.

Best of all, you’ll be able to soak up the incredible scenes and special effects of World of Color with an amazing viewpoint. It’s truly a unique way to experience this beloved Disney nighttime spectacular!

Currently, for summer 2023 and the yearlong Disney100 celebration, California Adventure is offering a special version of World of Color – and a special dessert party. You can experience the World of Color – ONE dessert party, which includes all of the same perks and treats as the usual World of Color version.

Special Event and Seasonal Dessert Parties

At times, Disneyland Resort theme parks do offer dessert parties beyond the World of Color dessert party for special events and seasonal happenings.

In years past, Disneyland Resort has typically offered a dessert party for the annual Oogie Boogie Bash. This specially-ticketed event takes place at California Adventure, and the dessert party includes preferred seating along the parade route for the Frightfully Fun Parade. While Disney has yet to announce whether the Oogie Boogie Bash dessert party will return for 2023, it’s very likely that you’ll be able to add this extra experience to your party tickets!

Keep an eye on Disneyland dining reservations to see what dessert parties might be available during your next visit.

How to Book a Dessert Party at Disneyland Resort Theme Parks

To book a dessert party for your next Disneyland or California Adventure visit, you’ll just need to make a dining reservation online. You’ll find all of the currently available party offerings under the dining reservations tab on the Disneyland website, and you can make your reservation like you would for any other on-property restaurant.

Just remember to double-check the cancellation policy before booking! In case your plans change, you’ll want to make sure you can accommodate your party reservation. And, of course, if you’re booking a special event dessert party like the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party, you’ll want to make sure you have a ticket for the event in question before booking.
