Buckeye Donuts owner Jimmy Barouxis holds trays of buckeye (chocolate with peanut butter) and red velvet doughnuts. The shop's slogan is

    Cravings don’t have bedtimes.

If you’re pulling the night shift, up from a fun evening out or just nocturnal by nature, you might find yourself hungry at an hour when most food spots are closed. But no need to worry; these 10 Columbus restaurants open late have you covered.

    Buckeye Donuts

    Hours: Open 24 hours

    Location: 1998 N. High St.

Breakfast for a second dinner? Who says no? Try out “cookies n’ cream,” “peanut cake” and “buttermilk” doughnuts or stick to the originals. If you’re watching your sugars, Buckeye Donuts has you covered with giant breakfast sandwiches and hash browns, which can be smothered in cheese.

    Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace

    Hours: 11 a.m.-9:45 p.m. Sunday, 4-9:45 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m.-10:45 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-12:45 a.m. Friday and Saturday

    Location: 248 S. 4th St.

If you’re Downtown and in need of a midnight snack, you can head to Dirty Frank’s and try one of over two dozen dogs or one of six “premium dogs,” all of which will run you less than $8. Side options include smothered tater tots, mac and cheese bites and soft pretzel bites.

Zach Ragely, from Hilliard, looks towards the door during the pre-open morning hours while the staff sets up at Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace on Thursday morning, Feb. 2, 2023.

    Fourth Street Taproom and Kitchen

    Hours (late night menu): 11 p.m.-1 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday

    Location: 1810 N. Fourth St.

Looking to pair your night-out cocktail with some bites? At this University District spot, you can pair an Old Fashioned, Tom Collins or Moscow Mule with buffalo chicken dip, fried pickles or chocolate cake.

    Little Palace Restaurant and Bar

    Hours (Kitchen): 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday, 4 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday and 4 p.m.-11 p.m. Sunday

    Location: 240 S. 4th St.

Those looking for a bite after late shifts or in the midst of a night out can head to Little Palace for Italian favorites like pizza, lasagna and stromboli. Finer diners can head to the Downtown spot on a Sunday for the weekly steak special with a loaded baked potato.

    Los Guachos Taqueria (Northwest Side)

    Hours: 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday

    Location: 5521 Godown Road

Those with a nighttime craving for nachos, tacos or tortas can head here or to one of the other nearby Los Guachos Taqueria locations. If you’re looking for less of a midnight snack and more of a midnight feast, you can get double the tortillas by trying the “burrito Don Patron,” loaded with cheese, pinto beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and a meat of your choice.

    The huarache at Los Guachos.

Mikey’s Late Night Slice (Short North)

    Hours: 4 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-3 a.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-2:30 a.m. Sunday

    Location: 1030 N. High St.

Grab some ‘za after a night out in the neighborhood known for its vibrant social scene. Fan favorites include the “spicy-(expletive) pepperoni,” topped with banana peppers, sriracha sauce, red pepper flakes and of course, pepperoni, and two meatless pizza options: vegan buffalo chicken and vegan pepperoni. Those not near the Short North can cut the commute time by checking out one of the six other Mikey’s Late Night Slice locations in Columbus.

Mikey's Late Night Slice is a popular late night restaurant at 1030 N. High St. in the Short North.

    Ohio Pizza and Brew

    Hours: 11 a.m.-2 a.m.

    Location: 88 E. Broad St.

Looking for pizza, but not looking to get out of bed? This Downtown pizza joint delivers late, and offers pie combos like the “I-670,” topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms, and the “Kaua’i,” featuring pineapple, ham and bacon.

    Parlay Sporting Club and Kitchen

    Hours (late night menu): 10 p.m.-12 a.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday

    Location: 570 N. High St.

You can appease your appetite without missing the end of the big game at Parlay in Downtown, which hosts over 100 TVs, a game room and patio seating. Late night grub options include apps, salads and handhelds, like the double bacon peanut burger.

    PJ’s Sandwiches

    Hours: 4 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Sunday-Wednesday, 4 p.m.-3:30 a.m. Thursday-Saturday

    Location: 15 Frambes Ave.

For most people, sandwiches may be more of a lunch thing, but these are no ordinary sandwiches. PJ’s boasts a selection of “fat” sandwiches, designed to stuff the biggest eaters. The “fat puma” sandwich, for example, is topped with chicken tenders, bacon, shredded cheese, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, lettuce, tomato and ranch.

    Ridiculous Eatz

    Hours: 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday

    Location: 1940 W. Henderson Road

This Northwest Side spot has seafood, gumbo, chicken and bar food classics. Tossing and turning with breakfast on your mind? Go for the wing and waffle dish, a unique twist on the traditional chicken and waffle combo.
