    Samuel Moyerman gets just desserts with 100th volleyball win at Sacred Heart

    Sacred Heart Academy dominated Dock Mennonite to the tune of 3-0 in a volleyball match Monday, earning coach Sam Moyerman his 100th career victory.

    Lilly Hornickle led the way with 15 kills and seven digs, while Annie Corcoran added four kills, three aces and 31 assists as the Lions won by scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-13. The team celebrated later with what appeared to be some gooey, sugary concoction on Moyerman’s face.

    Riley Fisher had eight kills, four aces and six digs.

    Strath Haven 3, Conestoga 0 >> Strath Haven had a sweet sweep of the Pioneers by game scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-23.

    Lauren McGinn led the Panthers with nine kills. Jillian Surkis added seven kills and eight aces to the mix while Eliza Jauregui chipped in with five kills.

    Defensively, Aislin O’Neill made 28 digs.

    Haverford 3, Penncrest 0 >> No results for the Fords were reported in their 25-16, 25-11 and 25-21 victory.

    For Penncrest, Bridget McKay had nine assists and five digs and Keira Costella had a pair of blocks.

    Golf

    Jack Gallagher led the way with a 1-over 37 at Glen Mills C.C. Monday, leading Harriton to a 193-218 win over Penncrest.

    Jackson Lararus registered a 38 and Carson Deringer and Sean Finnerty had a pair of 39s for the Rams. Hentry Belcher added a 40.

    For the Lions, Ryan Anderson carded a 40, Lance Kearndy and Parker Klodarska scored 43s and Ronan Donaghy had a 45.

    Boys Soccer

    Delco Christian won 14-0 over Phil-Mont Christian, though no individual stats were reported.

    The Knights are now 2-2-1 with TCA looming on Wednesday.
